The Antarctic Attraction recreates the atmosphere of the Antarctic providing vistors with a fun, interactive and exciting experience. Christchurch is the world's aerial gateway to Antarctica & The Antarctic Attraction showcases the activities happening down on 'the Ice'. Only 8 mins walk from the airport by following the blue footprints from outside the terminal.

Hagglund Ride |
Enjoy the thrilling Hagglund Ride as this genuine Antarctic all-terrain vehicle is put through it's paces over an adventure course replicating what it's like to travel across the Antarctic. This safe yet exhilarating experience takes 15 mins and leaves every 20 mins. Suitable for all ages and costs $12.00 per seat, although for better value most visitors purchase a combo ticket for the indoor attraction and Hagglund combined.

Snow & Ice Experience |
Play in real snow & ice made by the attraction staff. Slide down a snow slope or experience the bracing effects of a -18 degrees windchill fan. From Sept 2003 visitors can attempt to survive "The Antarctic Storm" inside the snow room as temperatures plummet & the wind rises each hour.
